Artist’s Statement - Gallery V

I have not traveled for awhile now, and as I have made my way through some of the last remaining of my travel drawings, I have begun to feel the old urgency, once again. It has lain quietly and patiently for too long now and it is time for me to begin planning for my next leaving.

I have incorporated some of these last few drawings to punctuate my new gallery (V), feeling as though they serve as both a kind of ending as well as a new beginning.

Also, of course, I have included some of my women of the arts and culture and of the mind; along with four renditions of nude sporting girls, without whom, I know, my imagination could never soar, as I so like to have it do.
